Two great friends, Dirk and Paul, and a shared whim, that of creating a winery that produces few bottles of the highest quality. This is how Bodega El Capricho was born.
El Capricho has 7 hectares of vines planted in 2003 and 2004, where Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon, Verdejo, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo and Merlot coexist. It is located in Villa del Carmen, 250 km north of Montevideo, in a terroir recognized for its particular combination of soil and climate, which added to the human factor, differentiates us from other wine regions.
